Samsung unveiled the Galaxy XR headphones last month and the next product in the series will be a pair of glasses, as per numerous previous rumors.

His first pair of XR glasses has now been identified with the model number SM-O200P. The “O” in that model number confirms that we’re not just talking about another earbud, since the Galaxy XR’s model number contains “I” in place of the “O.”

Samsung’s first XR glasses may be similar to Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses, and indeed past rumors said the Korean company would launch a screenless pair first in 2026, then followed by a screen pair in 2027.

The first pair of glasses would supposedly have Transitions lenses, meaning they automatically get darker when exposed to sunlight and become transparent when indoors. Transitions is a registered trademark of EssilorLuxottica, maker of Ray-Ban and many other brands, so it will be interesting to see if Samsung will also use these lenses, like Meta, or just Transitions-Pleases photochromic ones.

Like Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses, Samsung’s will also have a camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. But they add a mobile data connection that the Meta glasses lack. Samsung has already trademarked the name Galaxy Glasses, so there’s a big chance it will be called that.

The Galaxy Glasses will definitely launch in the US and, of course, in other markets as well, but these have not yet leaked.
