Lin and Ruby are seen together so often that people would occasionally find it odd if one of them was alone.

Lin even asked the R&D department to create a specialized weapon for Ruby “Spark”. The best matrices built for Ruby in Tower of Fantasy

In this guide, we will discuss the best Matrices built for Ruby in Tower of Fantasy along with all of their roles.

Support / Construction SUB DPS

Ruby is a powerful Hybrid-DPS character which can be played as a Full DPS or a dedicated Shieldbreaker. It is best paired with another Flame element character to activate Flame Resonance, which will provide an extra Flame Attack buff for both of you. She can also provide a decent Shatter even when she is a DPS type character, this shatter damage is not comparable to pure tanks but is better than most DPS characters.

Ruby Matrix (SSR)

  • 2 pieces set: After using the weapon ability, the ATK of the flame is increased by 15% / 18% / 21% / 25% for 25 seconds. The effect works in the background, and if multiple sets are used, the highest star set will take effect (does not stack).
  • 4-piece set: After releasing the weapon ability, you gain Mastery for 15 seconds, cooldown for 15 seconds. While Mastery is active, successful Basic Attacks increase Flame damage by 4% / 5% / 6% / 7%, up to 6 stacks, with a 0.2 second cooldown between stacks. At 6 stacks, you gain a shield to resist damage 1 time. Mastery cannot be stacked, and several Mastery Levels share cooldown time.

Samir Matrix (SSR)

  • 2 pieces set: Progressively increases damage by 1% after hitting a target. Stack up to 10/13/16/20 times. It lasts 1.5 seconds.
  • 4-piece set: Increases Dual EM Stars’ Electric Blast Damage by 16% / 22% / 30% / 40% ATK.

Crow Matrix (SSR)

  • 2-piece set: Increases critical damage to targets with less than 60% HP by 24% / 30% / 36% / 42%.
  • 4-piece set: Critics deal additional damage over time equal to 18% / 22% / 26% / 30% of ATK every second for 5 seconds. It does not stack.

Hybrid matrix set

Aside from the Marix 4pc sets, you can also try the 2pc hybrid sets as the SSR matrices are not that easy to obtain currently and most players won’t have any specs. You can pair a number of matrices together to form 2pc double effects, such as 2pc Samir + 2pc Ruby to increase total damage by a large margin. The Crow 2pc matrix can also be added in various combinations.

Best Team Comps for Ruby in Tower of Fantasy

In this guide, we will discuss the best team compositions for Ruby in Tower of Fantasy.

DPS fire team

Ruby + King + Cobalt-B

This character combo is a complete offensive team, equipped to deal more damage in less time. In this team, Cobalt-B can deliver sustained damage during downtime, and Ruby along with King can act as Shieldbreakers and also deal damage with their other abilities.

Ruby has more field damage than the rest of the team, and when he gains another Flame character, he can activate his Flame Resonance to quickly destroy enemies. This is a somewhat risky team as the more difficult content in the game has protracted battles and one mistake can ruin it very easily. It is recommended to use this team in Bygone Phantasm and Solo content.

Ruby + Cobalt-B + Zero / Nemesis

Another alternate DPS team includes adding a healer or support to the third slot. The best option for this is Nemesis and Zero, with Nemesis having a slight edge over Zero, as it has a unique crowd control ability and very powerful heals.

PvP team

Ruby + Huma + Nemesis

For PvP focused teams, Huma and Nemesis can be paired with Ruby to form a very solid combination. Nemesis is unrivaled when it comes to PvP battles and Huma can deliver prolonged Charged Attacks which can break the shid very quickly. Adding a powerful relic on top of this team will make any opponent quite defenseless in battle aside from the Ice Meta teams.

Aside from PvP, this team should be your go-to team for various co-op content, as having both a shield breaker and a healer will make it easier for your co-op squads, dedicated healers, and tanks to work in battle.
